DO YOU HAVE A GLOBAL MINDSET?
If you dream of an international career, or living abroad for a few years while young, attending a university overseas is a good way to address either. It will give you a different perspective - inside the classroom and out.
Quality learning and accredited degrees are available across the globe (many taught in English). Don't feel overwhelmed by the idea - you can compare university rankings and reputations on the Times Higher Education or QS websites.
It is an exciting and practical option for the culturally aware, mature student (not to mention it's a life-altering experience, plus you might pick up a foreign language).
Employers (and graduate programs) seek young people with global interests and experience. Why not try it? It is a chance to study and travel while building an international network of friends. Most programs are three years vs. the four here in the US, so save a year's tuition and spend it on grad school. FYI, grad programs abroad are often only 12 months and definitely cheaper.
Avoid debt, rising tuition, and high fees. Instead, save money and time while immersing yourself in another culture and language.

Funding is also possible, sample scholarships can be found on sites like the AFS. Few American students take advantage of opportunities overseas. Employers love students who've spent time abroad knowing they are adaptable and have had to collaborate with others from all over the globe. It is an experience like no other.
